Removed began in 2014, at the moment just before the true cost of our attention became something we could measure. In each photograph the devices are gone, carefully removed from the hands and gazes that are still shaped around them. What is left is us: together and elsewhere at once.

The series struck a nerve the moment it appeared and has since traveled the world in exhibitions and press. This monograph gathers the complete work in a single volume, printed to archival standard.
