Eric Pickersgill Interview with NCMA Park Pictures Series @mairamairaira

Thank you to Maira Aviles at the North Carolina Museum of Art for asking me to participate in the NCMA Park Pictures Interview series.

While I was a student at UNC Chapel Hill, I was selected to have one of my photographs enlarged and mounted to one of the billboards on the museums beautiful walking trails. Submissions are open now for college students and more information can be found here.

This is me standing in front of my billboard in 2013.

This is the photograph that was selected although it is difficult to see in the photograph of the install.

Back from Oregon, Exhibition Review in Photograph Magazine

Last week Angie and I returned from our trip to Oregon and are finally back in the swing of things. Today I received my copy of Photograph Magazine that includes a review of my exhibition at Rick Wester Fine Art by Jordan G. Teicher. The exhibition will run until May 21st. Stunning portrait on the cover by Mary Ellen Mark.

More exciting news to come soon. Be on the look out for the release of the video of my talk at TEDxBend by the end of the coming week as well as the Removed photograph I made on stage of the 1400+ audience members.

Not That Scary, Rehearsal Is All Done!

I just left the rehearsal of my TEDxBend talk that will be streaming live from Bend High School Auditorium tomorrow, Saturday, April 23, at 1PM PST at www.tedxbend.com! It was really exciting to be up there this morning and I can't wait to feel the energy of the crowd tomorrow!

The local paper in Bend ran a program guide which shows my bio for the opening act. Angie made that photograph of me two years ago so don't ever let her tell you that she isn't a published photographer..

TEDxBend Here I come! & Removed Exhibition at RWFA Reviewed by Elin Spring

Today I made the trek across the country from Charlotte, NC to Bend, Oregon. I've never made it to a pacific coast state and I'm so excited to explore this place!

Fantastic review of my work and exhibition at Rick Wester Fine Art on What Will You Remember? Photography Blog by Elin Spring. This piece gave me the chills.

I am nestled into the beautiful Bend, Oregon anxiously awaiting rehearsal tomorrow for my TEDxBend talk. The community is so pumped about the event. They even have banners on every light post on every street in downtown.

So incredible! They put us up in the very classy Oxford Hotel. I feel the weight of this all and can say that it's a pressure that I'm learning to enjoy. I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to share my ideas at this capacity. Thank you all!

TEDxBend Streaming Live, Saturday, April 23, 1PM PST

I am thrilled to announce that I will be speaking at TEDxBend on Saturday, April 23, 1PM PST. If you just can't wait until the piece is edited and uploaded then you can stream the talk live here.
