Six Pieces from REMOVED Find a New Home at Delta’s JFK Sky Club

After several years in the making, I’m thrilled to share that six pieces from my series Removed have been acquired by Delta Air Lines and are now installed at the JFK Terminal 4 Sky Club.

This project has been a long journey, one that actually began before COVID and finally, earlier this year, the works were installed thanks to the incredible efforts of Susan Gibbs, curator for Delta. Susan championed this collaboration from the start, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her vision and dedication in making it happen.

While in New York recently for my talk at SVA, I had the chance to visit the Sky Club, see the installation in person, and meet with several Delta staff members. They shared how excited guests have been to engage with the series, sparking countless conversations in a space where phones and screens usually dominate attention.

It’s fitting, really: the Sky Club is designed as a space for connection and relaxation between itineraries, and the Removed works echo that idea, offering a moment of pause, a subtle reminder to simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings, a warm meal, and maybe a drink before the next flight.

A special shout-out to Irma, Rob, and Clementina, who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed while documenting the installation and even gave me the time to enjoy the lounge myself before heading back to Charlotte.

If you ever find yourself at JFK and you’re not already a Delta Sky Club member, I’d say it’s well worth the cost of a day pass. Not just to see the work, but to experience the atmosphere of calm and connection the club creates.
