I'm thrilled that two Removed photographs appear in Adam Grant's new book, Vibe: The Secrets of Strong Connections in a Lonely World.
The book looks at how we build real connection at a time when screens and AI are taking over more of how we communicate. That is the same question behind Removed, which I began in 2014 by taking phones out of people's hands before photographing them, with no digital editing. The book describes a photographer taking people's devices out of their hands just before taking their pictures, showing them alone together, and I'm honored that the images are part of this conversation.
