Six Pieces from REMOVED Find a New Home at Delta’s JFK Sky Club

After years in development, six pieces from my photographic series Removed have found a new home at Delta Air Lines’ JFK Terminal 4 Sky Club. Installed earlier this year, the works invite travelers to pause, disconnect, and reflect amid the constant motion of modern travel. This collaboration, which began before the pandemic, reflects an ongoing dialogue between art, technology, and human presence — themes that continue to define my practice. Seeing the series resonate within such a dynamic, design-forward space reminds me how art can transform even the most transient environments into moments of connection and contemplation.

With the vision of curator André Weller, dozens of my backlit photographs filled Pier Mauá and were seen by over 200,000 people. As the sun set each night, the images came alive—offering a moment of reflection on presence and technology after long days immersed in innovation.

I’m thrilled to share that Angie and I have started Pecan Print House, a family-run business inspired by my artistic practice and our family’s needs. We’ve created 2025-2026 Academic Continuous Calendars and Yearly Continuous Calendars to help families and students stay organized without constantly turning to their phones.

Myself with Kay Tuttle, Mike Collins, and Laurie Schorr at the WFAE station in Spirit Square, Charlotte, NC on Friday January 8th, 2016.

I was asked to join Kay Tuttle (Executive Director) and Laurie Schorr (Director of Education and Community Engagement) at The Light Factory to speak about the organization and it's programming. We launched into a deeper conversation about the future of photography and it's role in society today. The first half of the conversation is with famed National Geographic photographer Steve McCurry.
